Centrally located in Millinocket, Maine in the shadow of Mt Katahdin, Moose Shed Lodge is situated between the southern entrances to Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument and Baxter State Park.
The Katahdin area is breathtaking, crowned by mile-high Mt. Katahdin. There’s enough natural beauty to keep you busy for a lifetime. We can help you find the best places to view and watch our wildlife. Photographers love it here! If you want to fish or hunt, this is the place for you! Guides are available to get you to that special fishing hole or the big buck you’ve been waiting your whole life for. In the winter, enjoy the miles and miles of groomed snowmobile trails or go ice fishing. Our lodge is right on the trail, so you can stay here on your way through our area or stick around a awhile and enjoy the comfort of the lodge while you explore the Katahdin Region. ATV trails are also accessible from the lodge.
Bring your ATV and enjoy miles of trails. The Katahdin Multi Use Trail includes scenic views of Katahdin, a suspension bridge, access to the State of Maine’s Seboeis Unit – Public Reserve Lands as well as access to the Brownville/Milo area ATV trails.
